Studying at the Faculty of Architecture means bringing history and contemporary life closer thanks to its spatial nature at all levels: object, house, district, city, region, territory, virtual space.
The education fields of the Faculty are: Architecture, both from a chiefly generalist viewpoint and aimed at the enhancement of the existing heritage (historical and monumental building, and Landscape Architecture); Design, aimed at the development of material and immaterial objects, ranging from Product to Visual to Multimedia Design; Project Management in Building Construction, tackling the complexity of today’s planning and building.
The course programme is divided as follows:
The Faculty of Architecture aims to train people to acquire cultural awareness and professional skills to design and control the changes made by human beings on the environment in its widest sense.
Students who intend to enrol in Architecture and Design programmes must be curious, open-minded and versatile, able to synthesize, to acquire and develop diversified skills. Thus, they will be able to master complex and interdisciplinary processes like those underlying the management and creation of the space we live in and of the objects and images with which we interact.

It was the first in Italy to offer the cross-curricular course of building, restoration and urban planning since 1920, that was implemented, from 1994 on, with the course of Design and from 2000 on with that of Landscape Architecture.
In addition, the Faculty coordinates a wide postgraduate training programme, by providing various professional master courses, PhD programmes and educational activities of the two postgraduate schools.
