Studying Economics is right for you if topics such as globalisation, productivity, competitiveness, entrepreneurship, development, financial markets or welfare are appealing to you; if you are attracted to the way economy influences social and political relationships, the choices and behaviours of families and individuals, and to the way it directs cultural stances.
To be a good student of Economics, it doesn’t matter which high school you come from, nor to have any sound knowledge of mathematics or statistics: you will be able to understand the basics of Economics from the very first year.
If you need a brush up on some notions before starting, the Faculty makes available to all first-year students some free-of-charge refresher courses on quantitative disciplines such as mathematics and statistics.
Should you be in trouble with your first exams, you may rely on remedial courses and will be able to achieve your degree on time. You’ll never be left alone!
