The course programme of the Faculty of Information Engineering, Computer Science and Statistics ranges from theoretical and methodological contents to technological and applied aspects, specially aimed at facilitating graduates to enter the world of work.

It’s right for you if…
The programmes of the Faculty of I3S all deal with science, so it’s difficult to get through them if you have a dislike of maths. This doesn’t mean that only students coming from a high school specialising in science education and who are good at maths will succeed; what matters is to be able to cope with any possible difficulties arising from the study of such discipline and become very keen on maths.
The programmes of the Faculty of I3S are multidisciplinary: they help understand our society and interpret data, provide answers to problems and expectations; in a nutshell, they are suitable to people who are passionate about various topics.
The Faculty also delivers some courses in English or makes students carry out specific in-depth studies in English. The career opportunities are very bright, both locally and all over the world, since the experts graduating in this field are strongly required for all levels of the economic sectors.

About us
The Faculty of Information Engineering, Computer Science and Statistics was created in 2010 and is so far the only one in Italy to be fully oriented to the Information Communication Technology-ICT field.
The Faculty of Information Engineering, Computer Science and Statistics - I3s is one of the biggest Italian academic research, scientific and engineering centres of the ICT field, with its about 255 professors and over 8,000 students and PhD and post-doc students. It includes several research and educational fields, all hinging on the common denominator of information acquisition, processing and transfer.
The Faculty promotes the inclusion of young people in research groups, the relationship with Italian and foreign ICT leading companies, the training to establish start-ups and to create professionals with high innovation skills, able to influence the technological, economic and social development of the country.
